Paris et Versailles

Day 1 (May 4, 2006).
Paris.
I went on a night bike/boat tour of Paris. It was fun to cruise the streets and see Paris sights at night (especially the Louvre). We were rolling deep! We literally took up entire lanes and slowed traffic. The tour included several bottles of red wine, which we guzzled at the end of the tour on the boat. I met several people that night. Most were Aussies, but some from Canada and the States. There was Keri (Australia), Michelle and Chelsea (Toronto), Angus (Sydney), Danielle (Portland). And BJ the tour guide. He was a Texas Longhorn, so he gloated while I showed my bitterness.

Day 2 (May 5, 2006).
Palace of Versailles.

I went on a day trip to the city of Versailles with my two new Canadian friends, Michelle and Chelsea. The palace is ridiculously HUGE! After strolling through the chateau, we roamed through the infinite gardens behind the chateau. In retrospect, it would have been wise to rent a bike.

At night, we met up with Angus. We bought bread, wine, and cheese and joined the locals on the bridge, Pont St-Michel. Every night, the bridge is packed with locals (mostly youngsters) sitting, drinking, and eating. We were harrassed by one guy. Angus told the police officers, and we moved. Later we saw the guy arrested! We then sat next to a group of Parisian female students. One of them, Constance, spoke a little English. They were nice (and hot!).

Day 3 (May 6, 2006).
This day was uneventful, and spent scrambling around the city trying to find a way to Spain since all trains were full. At night I shared a room with Vuy (Canada) and Kevin (Seol Korea).

Food
Baguette galore! I love the baguette!
"Chicken Mythic" at McDonald's. It was basically a chicken sandwich... but of Mythic proportion!!!
Lamb chops, potato flakes, Bordeux wine, creme brulee, chocolate mousse.
